Jennifer Keenahan, an assistant professor in civil engineering in UCD, met her other half Conor Murphy when they were both just 15 years old in transition year at school. The pair studied in neighbouring gaelscoileanna and found love outside of the school yard. Young love blossomed and the pair been together for the past 12 years.

Conor decided a surprise winter time proposal was the perfect way to pop the question to his long-time love.  "We went out for our usual walk through Blackrock Park on December 27, 2014. Our cupboards were
bare and Jen thought we were going to buy milk and bread. Then at the top of a hill with the view over Dublin bay, I got down on one knee. We then forgot to buy the milk!" the groom fondly remembers. After Jennifer quickly accepted, the pair decided to tie the knot on June 10, 2017, with a beautiful ceremony in St. Mary's Cathedral, Killarney, followed by a reception at The Malton Hotel.
The glowing bride was joined by her closet gals including Valerie Keenahan, Niamh Keenahan, Karen Concannon and Cara Gregg.  The groom's gang consisted of Danny Regan-Komito, Tadhg Murphy, Luke Slattery and Gearoid Ó Fearghail.

Keenahan Murphy wedding was made extra special with the help of some fantastic vendors and talented family members. Church music was provided by Jennnifer's cousins Gráinne, Paudie and Eanna, and family friends Niamh, Dererca, Muireann and Ailbhe. The newlyweds were transported in style in a vintage Ford Capri courtesy of friend Glenn Hingerty. Gary from O'Carrolls cakes pulled out all the stops with a delicious three-tiered cake to suit the wedding theme

When asked what their favourite moment of the day as, the couple find it difficult to pin point just one. "The speeches, the dancing, the wedding car, the band, the church and ceremony, the picnic at Ross’s
Castle, breakfast in the morning, spending time with our guests – actually absolutely everything was the best part of the day!", The bride said.

"Ciara was an absolute dream to work with. We first met her in Dublin (she was the first photographer we contacted) and we were sold straight away! She brought along samples of her work and they were stunning. We had an engagement shoot with her which was a superb idea as we got to know her and her style. Ciara also did a family photo shoot with us the week before the wedding which was
absolutely brilliant. We got some great photos out on Rossbeigh Beach. We’re so thrilled with our wedding day photos. Ciara was so calm and yet so organised. She was invisible and yet captured everything so brilliantly. We cannot recommend her highly enough."

"Gary has a passion for his craft. His creations not only taste out of this
world but they look marvellous too. When we presented him with our wedding invitation, he took the idea and ran with it - collaborating with local carpenters to laser cut a cake stand to match the image on the invites. He baked a three tier cake made up of chocolate orange, lemon and devils chocolate, decorated in pink buttercream and fresh cut flowers. He is a true pleasure to work with and made the whole process so easy and fun."
