They say you find love when you least expect it and for Eimear Moriarty the saying rang true as she met her husband Simon Wall after a less than ideal blind date. "This blind date was far from a success and my friend and I decided to make our excuses and head to McGowan’s of Phibsboro. There I met Simon. He was very entertained to hear my blind date story and felt he was in with a shot the fact that I was in McGowan’s on my own. We hit it off straight away," the bride fondly remembers.
As time went on for the couple, Simon decided it was time to make Eimear his wife and popped the question on a breezy January day on Portmarnock Beach.
A wedding date was set for June 16, 2017 with a ceremony in Curaheen Church and a reception at Ballygarry House Hotel.
HOW WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH MAUREEN FROM BRUSH N'BLUSH?
"She was absolutely amazing and she really took the stress out of the morning as she came to the house. She is so talented and created the most beautiful hairstyles on my three bridesmaids. As a bride I found Maureen brilliant to deal with. From the morning I met her for my trial, she was so patient and she created the most beautiful bridal look for me on the day. Her attention to detail on the day blew me away. She spent so much time with me and the bridal party, ensuring that our hair was picture perfect. This salon is a fantastic mother daughter ownership and my mother has been going to Francis; Maureen’s mother for years. On the run up to the wedding Francis completely changed my mother's hairstyle. This took huge persuasion but the results were out of this world. She was the talk of the wedding. For any brides out there looking for a hair dresser for their wedding, I would highly recommend Maureen from Brush n’ Blush." Facebook @BrushnBlush1
Having both my cousins participate in the music in our ceremony was special for us. Sarah O’Donovan blew everyone away with her rendition of 'A Thousand Years' by Christina Perri and Katie Moriarty provided fantastic entertainment on the concertina. Having family involved in the ceremony made it more special and memorable for us. We also loved dancing down the aisle to 'Ho Hey' by The Lumineers. We were beaming from ear to ear. It was definitely a moment we will never forget," the bride said.
