Muireann Quane & Michael O’Donoghue
Muireann Quane married Michael O’Donoghue, her best friend
and now partner for life, on the fabulous day that was July 22, 2016. The
lovebirds held their wedding ceremony at St. John’s Church Ballybunion, which
was followed by a beautiful reception at The Listowel Arms Hotel.
THE WEDDING PARTY
Seána Quane, Ciara Quane, Nonie Quane and Niamh Quane all
served as stunning bridesmaids and attended to Muireann’s every need on the day
and in the run up to the wedding. The easy-on-the-eye groomsmen were John O’Donoghue,
Hugh O’Donoghue, Niall O’Mahony and Andrew Garnett.
THE WEDDING TEAM
Muireann and Michael chose to support and utilise the
amazing talents and services of some of Kerry’s fantastic local suppliers
available to them right on their doorstep. They were delighted with everything
at the end of the day.
The bride stunned in an exquisite Martina Liana wedding
gown. Her hair was taken care of by the very talented Hair by Sinead, Muireann
had her makeup done by Beauty by the Beach in Ballybunion and she couldn’t have
been happier with the results.
The special day was captured on camera by the excellent
Padraig Healy, and LM Wedding Videography caught everything on film for the
bride and groom. The couple were transported to the venue in a Bentley.
Michael’s Aunt, Mary Kavanagh, designed and made the
gorgeous wedding cake with love for the couple.
Muireann and Michael decided to dance into their wedding
reception along with the bridal party, families and even the priest. They all
haphazardously learned ‘The Cupid Shuffle’ which, according to Muireann,
“wasn’t a major success, but it was great fun and set the tone for the
evening.” The pair shared their first dance to Emeli Sande’s “Read All About

This bride has some wonderful advice to give all you
brides-to-be, “Don’t let wedding preparations stress you out and trust the
professionals. Remember, it’s a day savoured by all, including you! When all is
done, you will be husband and wife, and that’s all that matters.”
Muireann and Michael jetted of to Rome a week after the

better wine,” Muireann remembers. A second longer honeymoon was planned for
Tell us about your experience at The Listowel Arms hotel?
“Once we visited the Listowel Arms and met Patrice our minds
were made up. We booked our wedding that very day and from that moment on we
were blown away with the warm but professional approach from everyone in the
hotel. The hotel is the complete venue with a cosy Georgian lobby, leading to a
conservatory with ample space for a drinks reception, which in turn leads to
the balcony overlooking the River Feale. The reception venue itself was perfect
and the staff set it up exactly to our tastes with all last minute changes done
without issue. We had heard great reviews about the food in the Listowel Arms
but it was even better than we could have imagined. Everything was prepared to
perfection despite one or two speeches running very over schedule! Many of the
guests commented on the friendliness of the staff throughout the day and the
service they provided. Even at check in the staff ensured that guests with
individual needs were accommodated in suitable parts of the hotel. We would
have no hesitation in recommending the Listowel Arms to any couple getting
married. In fact, it is a pity we’re only getting married once!”
