Summer wedding favours

By Niamh Bartley

When it comes to summer weddings everyone thinks of warm, bright days and late nights. Why not play on the season and choose some stunning summer inspired wedding favours to gift your guests. Here are a few of our favourites.

A super fun and adorable favour to give your guests. Let them let loose and blow bubbles like they did when they were kids. It’s the ultimate nostalgic experience and everyone can have fun using them, they could also make for some funny photos if your photographer catches the right moments.

Customised cocktails
Your guests are certain to love you for serving cocktails at your summer wedding. There’ll be a serious need for refreshment and they can act as a favour if you have them served as your guests sit down for the meal or as an after dessert drink. Customising the cocktails will add a bit of character and you could always have one for the gents and one for the ladies if you see fit.

Flip Flops
These definitely fit with the summer theme and can also come in handy for a bit of late night dancing for the girls wearing high heels. Have your initials monogrammed onto some plain flip flops or decorate them with some cute ribbon and you have a great, simple and relatively cheap favour for all your guests.

Handmade soap
Have your guests smelling fab after your big day by providing them with some gorgeous soaps. There’s nothing the Irish like more than a handmade Irish product, so shop around and see where you can get the best handmade soap for your guests and they’re sure to be pleased. You could even just give these to your out of town guests who are staying in hotels and B&Bs in a little care package.
