Spring has sprung!

Spring has sprung!

by Niamh Bartley

A wedding in the spring sound like it could be amazing, so why not make the dream a reality? There are so many ways you can make this season your own and add a flourish to your wedding like no other! I’ve put together my top picks for throwing the best and most unique spring wedding you can imagine.

Garden tea party
This can be a fabulous way of having part of your day outdoors, if your venue has nice gardens you could have your drinks reception on the lawn and it would look fabulous. Another great benefit to this is that they probably have an indoor area where you could be moved if the weather doesn’t go along with your plan.

Light cocktails
In spring we’re just coming out of a mulled wine coma, so you might as well make a refreshing light cocktail part of your day. Do you have a favourite cocktail as a couple? Or perhaps you can concoct a signature cocktail for your big day.

Décor
Go mad with flowers and pastels in every part of your décor. We love the use of fresh flowers and colourful bunting all around your venue, it will transform it into a spring paradise. You could also put the pastels to use when it comes to bridal party wear and your nearest and dearest will look stunning beside you.

Eggs
This can work especially well if your wedding is close to Easter, provide chocolate eggs as favours or fill a vase with dyed eggs and flowers for centrepieces. It might sound odd but it does look fab, plus eggs are a symbol of new life which is a great thing to have as part of your day when you’re starting a new chapter of your life with the person you love.
